Use a comparative adjective + than to compare two people, places or things.

People want to be more comfortable.
The offer is growing faster
Add –er to the end of short adjectives (one-syllable adjectives) to form the comparative.
Example
New → Newer Short → Shorter

Large
Larger
Happy → Happier
Busy → Busier
Big → Bigger
Fat → Fatter
Use more before long adjectives (two or more syllables).
→ Expensive More expensive
→ Important More important
Some two-syllables adjectives are used with either –er or more to form the comparative.
→Simple Simpler / more simple
Some adjectives have an irregular comparative form.
Good → better → far farther, further
Bad → worse
